A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep a separate log of those search terms.

The published material explains how to reach the Van Buren County Sheriff, Iowa District Court, Iowa DCI, and the Iowa Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report or a criminal record about another person.

Links may lead to sheriff pages, court portals, Iowa agencies, legal-aid resources, or independent search tools. After leaving this website, the destination's privacy policy controls the visit. Review it before providing personal information.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to follow activity across websites and select targeted ads. We do not operate that tracking.

Iowa Code chapter 714 addresses consumer fraud, while Iowa Code chapters 22 and 692 govern public records and criminal-history data held by government custodians. Those government-record laws do not turn this private site into the custodian of Van Buren County records. At a minimum, you may:
